I’ve seen Maiden twice, but it’s been a while since I last saw them because I’m shhhh years old.
My first ever experience with Collins was his track on John Zorn’s Spillaine album, but I loved it so much I started going down the rabbit hole with his albums…
This was my third time seeing Maiden, but the other two were A LONG time ago as well.
Albert Collins has such beautiful tone when he plays, and it’s so distinct. I remember hearing something on the radio, and I was like, “This is Albert Collins!” And what d’ya know. It certainly was. That’s pretty amazing when someone’s got such a unique signature sound like that.
