My cat has lost her appetite. She used to eat anything I’d put down and now she’s turning her nose up at everything. I took her to the vet yesterday and she’s not running a fever, nor to x-rays show any sort of blockage in her digestive system. The current diagnosis is that she’s munching on houseplants that are irritating her stomach and making her not want to eat. I also think she might be allergic to the seafood flavors I’ve been giving her, so I’ve switched to poultry-flavored stuff. Hopefully the inflammation goes down over the next few days the she gets her appetite back. I’ve moved all the potential offending plants into a room she can’t get to. If she’s not feeling better after 3 days or so, they may have to gie her some anti-inflammatory medication and do some more in-depth panels & tests. Everyone, everyone, everyone, Shy is feeling a lot better. She has become ravenous…making up for lost time, I guess. I put all the house plants into a seperate room she can’t get to and I’ve switched her off the seafood stuff. And now she hardly leaves me alone when it’s meal time. She is feeling a lot batter.
