All You
I love The Birthday Massacre. I’ve seen them multiple times (including ON my birthday) and have a couple of their albums (Walking with Strangers, Violet), but I never knew they did a Madonna cover. I never came across it somehow. I didn’t expect that, but I guess it shouldn’t be surprising.
The Birthday Massacre is new to me. I attempted playing all covers, but it fell apart. The Madonna track is a remnant of a scrapped quest. It’s quite funny because I half expected you to play the original Madonna version.
Oh wow, I’m listening as I’m typing. You win for best opening!
“We need someone who can find the reason for your belief and cure it. That’s what we need. It’s a chiropractor.”
Seriously, the best line by far. I cracked up when it gave me that line.
You thought I was going to? Ah, because I’d played Ray of Light? No, I knew that was a song with “key” in it, but I never actually considered playing it. I had a similar situation as you. I was going to play all UK artists, but Starbenders put the kibosh on that. Although, I was going to play The Primitives for the witch track.
I feel like something weird happened with the Charlatans UK track in my mix. It sounds… quieter or thinner than the other tracks or something, no? Maybe I accidently did something, or maybe it’s just like that.
I almost played Burn the Witch by Radiohead. There were a lot of possibilities with the “witch” track, including The Primitives and this cool dream pop band here
P.S. Love the artwork – both expressions, but yours is especially hilarious and rather uncharacteristic for the cartoon series. “Reeeeaaaawwwrrrr!” (claws)
lol accidentally deleted my own post. (as opposed to deleting someone else’s post?)
The artwork is perfect for this show. Alice looks so done with you.
