Oh yes, you know it. And Mingus Ah Um is a great album… with liner notes written by Mingus’s psychiatrist.

When Charlie Parker died at 34, the coroner said he had the body of a 60 year old
Yeah, that photo looks faked to hell, but I do believe the coroner’s statement about him having the body of a 60-year-old. Some prophet once said “cocaine’s a hell of a drug”.
