Loved it. It has sentimental value too. I bought a copy of it for a friend, one of my closest. We were supposed to watch it together one day (as well as go see another film), and we never got to. He passed away. But I got my own copy, and so some of the boys and I got together and watched both films with him in spirit. It was a great double feature.

Somewhat unrelated, but there is an old animated Garfield special where Jon and Garf go on vacation, and they (somehow!) find a long lost island where all the natives worship Elvis. They even have a stone statue of a Cadillac that they bow to. I had it on VHS tape way back when, but no idea where the tape is now. Online searches have turned up nothing, I’m guessing for copyright reasons. It’s like, the Holy Grail of lost media for me.

Good god this is awful. Ha ha ha. I mean, I’m sure this was slapped together in an afternoon or something with a bunch of interns doing the animating. But man o man I watched this when I was like 8 or 9 years old and for some reason it’s stuck with me. Sort of, I didn’t remember it all to well, did I?

This is almost always true. still, I have no regerts finally getting to watch some of this again. If I had only remembered the title of the thing, I probably could have tracked it down myself, but my memory was just so fuzzy about it.

I watched some of it. It didn’t seem bad. Maybe it gets better when they get to the village (I didn’t watch anythingn before that).
